The TEC Centre houses three different laboratory spaces with an overall size of 1800m2. These are configured as a Knowledge Transfer Laboratory, Projects Laboratory and a Main Laboratory.

All lab benches are equipped with mains power and network points. The laboratory spaces are set up to facilitate initial small prototype activities in the Knowledge Transfer Laboratory. Projects can then progress to either the Projects Laboratory or the Main Laboratory depending on the scale and facilities requirements of the project. The Main Laboratory is designed to be open plan to accommodate projects with a large space requirement and is designed to be a staging point for project demonstrators which can be perfected in-house before being moved to other off-site field trial sites.

The main laboratory and projects laboratory are equipped with permanent fume extraction systems.

There are also a further nine industry workstations available on the ground floor of the Centre which can be used by visiting researchers from our industry and academic partners.
